Paris is famous for its landmarks. It has more landmarks than any other European city. Landmarks include museums, ancient churches, and cemeteries. Each landmark is an example of great architectural beauty. I will discuss some of the famous landmarks in Paris below.
This is the most famous landmark not only in Paris but also in the world. Everyone who comes to Paris visits the Eiffel Tower. It is a wrought-iron tower, built in 1889, and is 324 meters tall. Over 7 million people visit the Eiffel Tower each year, which makes it the most visited monument in the world. There are 2 options to go up. One is taking stairs and the other one is using an elevator. At night, the Eiffel Tower looks even more beautiful as it lights up. There are beautiful parks and gardens near the Eiffel Tower where you can enjoy yourself and have a picnic.
There are 1665 stairs that will take you to the top, but you are only allowed to move up to the second floor by taking stairs. It is recommended to buy a ticket for a lift if you want to move up as it is more comfortable and the price difference between stair ticket and lift ticket is not too much. The best time to visit the Eiffel tower is in the morning or at night. If you are planning to visit in the afternoon or late morning, be prepared to wait in long rows for a ticket as it is very crowded. For ticket prices and timing details, you can visit the official website of the Eiffel tower.

Notre Dame Cathedral
Notre Dame is one of the most famous Catholic cathedrals. Its construction was started in 1163 and completed in 1345, almost 182 years later. The cathedral was used to store food during the French Revolution, and it was restored in the 19th century between 1845 and 1870. Notre Dame is famous for its rich history and its beautiful architecture. In 1991, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2019, a fire broke out in the church and damaged the roof of the cathedral. Later on, it was repaired in order to continue the activities in the church.
There is no entry fee for visiting the cathedral. Anyone, including adults and children, can visit the church. It is open on all weekdays. The time to visit the church from Monday to Friday is from 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. On weekends, the opening and closing times are from 8 a.m. to 7:45 pm.
